Starbond Thick Super Glue is a slow-setting, gap-filling cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for uneven parts, angled surfaces, and joints that need additional positioning time. Its 2,000 cP, honey-like consistency fills gaps from 0.01 to 0.02 inch while staying where it is applied, making it useful for RC model assembly, repairs, woodworking, and general workshop projects.
Controlled Placement for Gaps and Uneven Joints
The thick formula stays in place instead of running quickly through a joint. Its slower set provides time to position parts accurately, while the gap-filling consistency helps bond surfaces that do not fit perfectly together.
Material Compatibility: Thick CA is best for rigid or uneven joints where gap filling is needed. Test it on scrap material before use because cyanoacrylate may damage certain foams, plastics, or finishes. It is not a substitute for Foam-Tac on flexible EPP airframe joints.
Choose the Right Viscosity: Thick CA provides the most gap filling and positioning control. Choose medium CA for smaller gaps and general assembly or thin CA for capillary wicking into tightly fitted joints.
Important Safety and Storage: Cyanoacrylate adhesive bonds skin and eyes rapidly. Use with eye protection and adequate ventilation, keep away from children, and avoid contact with cotton or wool because a rapid heat reaction may occur. Wipe the nozzle clean, replace the pin cap after use, and store the bottle upright in a cool location.
