Big boy
I have been flying over 40 years, and am not a good 3D pilot, but I can harrier well and hover ok. I have to say that for someone coming from the very common 48" size class of regular planes, this Edge would be the ULTIMATE 3D trainer for such a pilot. It is very forgiving, and you can really throw this thing around down low and fairly slow pretty safely. With the recommended power combo, there is Plenty of power to haul you out of any mishap, as long as you can get the nose pointed up before you hit the ground. This plane is a real winner, the removable wing design really clever (and could come in very handy), construction was straightforward and easy, and it flies like a dream. It also handles 5-15 mph winds incredibly well, and is great fun "surfing" the wind down low. I'm very glad I bought this plane! (psst - even though I never liked Edges before - I love this one)
