Product Description
The Vertex VS28-17R is a professionally matched 2S or 3S power system developed for approximately 22–37-inch EPP aircraft. It combines responsive traditional 3D performance with transmitter-controlled reverse thrust for advanced 4D flight, while pre-installed matching connectors and included 3D/4D mounting hardware simplify installation. Bundle and save with a proven motor-and-ESC package that costs less than purchasing the components individually.

3D / 4D Reversible System
Traditional 3D or Radio-Switchable 4D
Fly the system as a conventional forward-only 3D setup or configure transmitter-controlled reverse thrust for advanced 4D maneuvers. Use 2S for smooth, lightweight performance or step up to 3S for stronger outdoor power, faster pullout, and more aggressive 3D and 4D flight.

Important 4D Setup: For reversible 4D operation, we recommend a maximum all-up model weight of approximately 250 g. Do not use a 9-inch 4D propeller on 3S with the included 1950KV motor.
No Low-Voltage Cutoff: The V17R does not provide low-voltage cutoff protection. Use a flight timer and monitor battery voltage to prevent excessive LiPo discharge.
Important Initial Setup: The transmitter’s throttle range must be calibrated before the ESC will arm and operate correctly.
Installation and Programming: Confirm that the receiver and servos are compatible with the 6V BEC output, provide adequate cooling airflow, and check motor and ESC temperatures after the first flights. The V17R arrives factory programmed for its intended 3D and 4D operation. Custom firmware, third-party software, and unsupported setting changes may affect reliability and are not supported by Twisted Hobbys.
