RcF VOLTA CL 20A (Control Line)

Based on experience with control line models, we developed an ESC that addresses the main requirements of this category – the need for a timer and a reliable governor mode to maintain constant RPM. Most standard ESCs do not offer these functions, which is why we decided to create our own solution.

The result is the Volta CL 20A – an ESC designed specifically for the needs of control line models. It provides smooth and quiet operation, constant RPM thanks to its governor system, and an integrated timer that can be easily set via JetiBox. A major advantage is also telemetry support, which delivers valuable in-flight data in real time.

The development team included two of the most experienced specialists in this field – Lukáš Vosecký and Roman Radoš – ensuring that the ESC truly meets the expectations of modelers looking for a reliable, precise, and user-friendly system.

This compact and lightweight ESC (19 × 28 × 5 mm, weighing only 8.5 g) delivers a continuous current of 25 A, with peak loads up to 50 A for 2 seconds. It operates within a voltage range of 6–24 V, corresponding to 2–5S LiPo or 3–6S LiFe batteries. It also features an integrated 8 V/150 mA BEC designed for powering a receiver or Jetibox (not servos).

The ESC includes advanced protections against overvoltage, undervoltage, overheating, overcurrent, and motor stall. It offers a wide range of configurable options, including acceleration, timing, reversing, and braking. It supports fast heli/governor mode, bidirectional mode, and a special sequencer dedicated to control line models.

Thanks to high-frequency switching, it operates with very low noise and ensures exceptionally smooth motor performance. In addition, the ESC automatically recognizes telemetry systems (Duplex EX, HoTT, MSB, PowerBox P2Bus, S.Bus2, FrSky) and is capable of logging both minimum and maximum transmitted values.
